About ISKCON Kota
A temple at the heart of the community
ISKCON Kota is a branch of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, rooted in the teachings of Srila Prabhupada.
For the people of Kota, our temple is more than a building — it is a sanctuary where the Holy Name is chanted daily, the Bhagavad-gita is studied with clarity, and sanctified prasadam is served to everyone who walks through our doors.
Devotees and well-wishers from every walk of life come together here to worship the Deities, celebrate the festivals of Lord Krishna, and serve the community through education, food distribution and care.

From a handful of devotees to a vibrant spiritual home in Kota.
The community begins
A small group of devotees in Kota began gathering to chant the Holy Name and study the Bhagavad-gita in homes across the city.
The temple is established
With the blessings of devotees and well-wishers, a dedicated temple space was established to host daily aartis, classes and prasadam feasts.
Growing the service
Programs expanded — Sunday Feasts, youth forums, school outreach and festival celebrations grew the community week after week.
A vibrant spiritual home
ISKCON Kota continues to welcome thousands of visitors each year to chant, learn and serve Krishna.

Founder-Acharya of ISKCON
Born in 1896 in Calcutta, Srila Prabhupada dedicated his life to sharing the timeless Vedic teachings. In 1965, at the age of 69, he travelled alone to America with little more than his translations of the scriptures and an unshakable faith in Lord Krishna.
In July 1966 he founded the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in New York City. From a single storefront he built a worldwide movement, authoring over seventy books on the science of devotion — including the celebrated Bhagavad-gita As It Is — before passing away in 1977.
